My friend Mai-Lan and I visited the Centre Pompiduo, a museum/library/multi-purpose modern building with its "insides on the outside." We visited the modern art exhibition which was interesting, astonishing, repulsive, confusing, boring, exciting, and quite moving. Some of the pieces of art didn't feel like art (blank white canvases, messy piles of jack-hammered sidewalk-concrete) and some where absolutely world class paintings. My favorties are above.
