Belleville

Our vista in Belleville as the sun started to set

We could see every major monument from this point. We liked it much better than the popular view in front of Sacre Coeur on Montmartre

The last little bit of light before darkness (and below freezing temperatures) covered the city

Cool graffiti building on our way back to the metro

Uri on the metro lost in "snake," his new best friend, a cellphone game. What a replacement eh?

I am attempting to visit every corner of Paris during my time here. I chose Belleville for this expedition and Uri joined me. After wandering for a bit we took a back alley and came across a park with an exceptional view. Uri and I stopped and watched the sun sink into the horizon. Our conversation drifted to religion and we shared our ideas about what it is to believe in something, to belong to a faith, and work towards a goal of peace. I am more grateful than ever for having him along with me.
