Apartment Business and Waiting for Godot

Renovations on the 3rd floor apartment has been my major responsibility here in Paris. While work continues slowly and it has caused a few headaches it looks really great. I am very happy to be able to contribute to the continuation of a truly prized family heirloom. To play a part in keeping alive this piece of my heritage is wonderful.

My favorite contemporary play, Waiting for Godot, was playing here in Paris, in its original language, in the town where it was written. This was an opportunity that I absolutely could not miss. I was joined by Denver, a drama connoisseur from UCI. I am in love with just the text of the play, so seeing it live, with superb actors, and a perfectly simple set was uplifting. It is not necessarily a happy play, but it always has an uplifting hope-inducing effect on me. It tells me to break the monotony when life begins to fall into the repetition of everyday life. It helps to remind me of how blessed I am to be living where I am, doing what I’m doing. It speaks to me and tells me to cut my hair in awful ways or play soccer in the park with the street cleaners.
