Skulls and Bones
A Ghostly Looking Ben
Flesh Eating Zombies in the Catacombs
After visiting the Jardin Luxembourg we made our way to the Catacombs of Paris. In the late 18th century millions of bodies were exhumed from their graves in order to curb the epidemic that was caused by rotting corpses polluting the city. They were placed in ancient unused quarries to the south of the city center. Very creepy but very cool. It took us twenty minutes to walk through corridors lined with bones stacked five feet high and five feet deep. We saw literally hundreds of thousands of bodies.
