Uri and I thought it would be an awesome idea to take a night train to Munich because then we would be really well rested by the time that we got there. This was a huge mistake. We were in a cramped little compartment with two Austrian lovers, a man listening to his iPod entirely too loud for the type of techo-pop eurotrash opera he was listening to and another man who didn't move a muscle, sleep, blink, look anywhere but straight ahead or breathe the entire time. The train was beastly hot, incredibly loud, and smelled of dirty socks (that may very well had been my fault as we did do a lot of walking in Amsterdam that day.) To say the least we got very little sleep and arrived in Munich with a bad Night Train hang-over and no place to stay.
