The French Statue of Liberty
Even though we were greeted with rain Uri and I still set off on our Seine tour. We started at the south end of Line 7 in Ivry and made it all the way to the French Statue of Liberty past the Eiffel Tower walking along the Seine almost the entire way. Along the way we stopped for a Chinese food lunch near the Bastille and stocked up with a bottle of champagne. We attempted to hit one of the Seine tour boats with the cork off the champagne bottle but narrowly missed. We had a great time walking and chatting. We celebrated our own makeshift Thanksgiving by listing things we were thankful for. Uri and I share a closeness that I am very thankful for. I am grateful that he has joined me for the first three months of this trip. I will be sad to see him leave at the New Year.
