Went to the Musee D'Orsay with Nina. We rushed the ticket collectors, held out our Professor Cards, and said firmly, "Je suis prof." I am a teacher. Kept walking. Free museum!
We brought pencils and paper, wandered around for a bit, and found the perfect man. It looked like he was in the middle of toasting the Gods when a bird pulled a fly by.
Nina is a terrific artist and taught me a few things. Most importantly, don't force it. Watch for the light and dark spots, not outlines.
