Phaaps stops by - Jan 23rd-24th

Uncle Phaaps came by for just over 24 hours and as always I had a blast. On Saturday we ventured to the Grand Palais to check out the current "Picasso and the Masters," exhibit. When we got to the entrance however there was a five hour wait. Not a tough decision. We set off on foot to wander through the streets of Paris.
After visiting St. Germain des Pres we sat down to a late Parisian lunch at Place de La Sorbonne and didn't get up for another two hours. I started with a dozen Escargots, and Phaaps had French Onion Soup. We split a bottle of Bordeaux and both got a Pave de Rumpsteak. Even though we were already feeling full and drowsy we couldn't pass up Les Profiteroles and a cafe. We waddled back via Rue Soufflot and the Pantheon.
After a repose at the apartment we caught "The French Connection" at a classics movie theater and then a pint of Guiness on Rue Mouffetard.
It is always a treat having Uncle Phaaps stop by.
