Le Pandemonium-John Martin

La Deposition-Caravaggio

La Crucifixion-Veronese
My first trip back to the Louvre in many many years was with my good friend Ben Ganschow. He had never been before and was very interested in ancient artifacts. We spent a good amount of time looking at Ancient Egypt, Syria, Greece, and Rome. I forgot how huge the Louvre was, we literally saw thousands of artifacts in just a couple of hours. We then made our way to the grand gallery to see the more famous paintings, including the Mona Lisa, who I find less impressive each time I see her. My favorites from the grand gallery are listed above.
